Our ELC and Junior School is a vibrant, exciting and educationally supportive learning environment. The children are fuelled by a strong sense of inquiry through their work within the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) and through their own curiosity.
The learning program is complemented by a broad range of specialist, extra-curricular activities and enrichment programs. Technology is also embraced throughout the school to enhance teaching and learning.
St Margaret’s has a Junior School rich in traditions, yet one which has its sights firmly set on a future of success and achievement.
Our Senior Girls campus is well-known for two central achievements: academic success and the nurturing of community. This powerful combination promotes a sense of connectedness and belonging, allowing students to feel secure in setting challenging goals for themselves. With encouragement and the opportunity to develop their talents, students frequently excel in music, sport, the arts, mathematics, sciences and humanities. Our main goal is that they excel in life, discovering a path that will be engaging, meaningful and personally fulfilling.
Our Senior Boys campus is an educational institution purpose-built for the needs of boys. Academic excellence is a key goal and there is a high expectation for students to aim for success. There is, however, a balance between academic rigour and the need to support each student’s personal and social development. Programs have been purpose built in Design Technology, Information Communication Technology, and also in Sport and Physical Education to engage and inspire boys to achieve their personal best. Confidence and self-esteem influence significantly a student’s ability to achieve and so are a key focus of our programs.
St Margaret’s and Berwick Grammar School is a leading institution in the Performing Arts in Australia. It provides a holistic Performing Arts education for students including unique co-curricular performance opportunities. With a strong classroom curriculum, a flourishing instrumental music program and a comprehensive ensemble program, the school focuses on the development of the next generation of musicians, actors, dancers and creative young people.
Embodied with within the Performing Arts program, all students will learn, understand and outwork the school values of Courage, Curiosity, Character and Respect.
