Edinburgh College

Edinburgh College

Lilydale VIC, Melbourne Eastern Suburbs

Our mission is to develop children of character in a nurturing environment that promotes academic excellence and a commitment to serving others. Our focus on character and service ensures when students graduate they are well-rounded members of society, with a deep appreciation of the quality of selflessness and the importance of serving others.

Edinburgh College is nestled in the picturesque and semi-rural setting of Lilydale in Melbourne’s outer east. Early learning, primary and secondary campuses exist side by side providing a continuous educational journey for all levels, surrounded by the quiet bushland of the Yarra Ranges.

Wellbeing

The support structure of Edinburgh College ensures every student has the opportunity to reach his or her full potential. Wellbeing is experienced at through our Pastoral care, Positive Behaviour for Learning, Chaplaincy and Peer-Support and student leadership programs.

The values learned at Edinburgh support the values you teach at home. In partnership with families, our school gives each student the values they need for a successful future.

Learning

Our school’s learning program is designed to provide opportunities for all students to achieve their best, intellectually, spiritually, socially and physically, with a continuous education pathway from Early Learning to Year 12.

Excellent facilities, inspiring staff and specialist subjects means every student can reach their full potential at Edinburgh.

Co-curricular

At Edinburgh College, our students enjoy a wide range of opportunities to develop specific skills, sportsmanship and camaraderie. From Year 5, our students participate in camps and various other off-campus opportunities designed to develop character and a willingness to serve the community. As part of our school’s strong focus on serving others, Year 11 students have the opportunity to volunteer on community projects in Vanuatu, while other year levels take part in projects which benefit our own local community.

Our comprehensive music program gives students the opportunity to learn a string instrument, wind instrument, piano or percussion in private tuition. We run several school bands and ensembles which give our young musicians the chance to perform together throughout the year, including at our annual school gala.
