Discover Together at Lumen Christi College

Located in Perth’s south-east foothills suburb of Martin, Lumen Christi College is a private, co-educational Catholic college catering for students in Years 7 to 12. Since opening in 1984, Lumen Christi College has established itself as a premier college of choice for local families.

As a college community, we aim to spark curiosity in our students, encourage them to seek knowledge and to embrace innovation. Together, we create a connected and supportive learning environment inspired by the Light of Christ.

Our Campus

Our expansive campus houses a diverse range of established facilities which allow us to provide a wealth of programs and extra-curricular opportunities for our students. These facilities include a private dam, three ovals, tennis courts, a four-court indoor Sports Centre, a Performing Arts Centre, and purpose-built Junior and Senior Transition Centres.

Our Junior Transition Centre is devoted to Year 7 students, and a robust Transition Program supports our Year 7 students to be independent and successful learners. Similarly, our Senior Transition Centre provides our senior students with direct access to career development, vocational training, a boardroom and a range of other specialist resources.

Curriculum

Together, we discover the academic realm — the world of literature, science, arts and languages, to name a few. We aim to provide students with opportunities for life beyond Lumen, and a readiness to engage with those opportunities to make a positive contribution towards our wider society. Our students strive for excellence in their pursuit of outstanding results, in all their learning areas and pathways. We are proud to offer a broad range of learning experiences at our incredible college.

Our generous range of ATAR, General and VET courses are reflective of our ongoing commitment to providing quality learning experiences and enriching educational opportunities for each and every student. We offer established pathways for university entrance with a comprehensive range of ATAR courses, as well as a highly successful Vocational Education and Training program. Our General courses mimic the titles of our ATAR courses, but are carefully tailored to accommodate for alternate pathways to further tertiary studies and life beyond Lumen.

Life at Lumen

As a college community, we have students and staff from over 45 different countries who speak dozens of distinct languages and practise nearly 20 different religions. We cherish the remarkable multiculturalism within our school community, and acknowledge this strength by a number of structures and systems. These include our pastoral care and House systems, which are integral to the life of the college, where we operate with five unique Houses. Each House is directed by a House Coordinator, with the structure of the Houses at the heart of our wonderful school activities, such as our sports carnivals and fundraising activities.

We celebrate Harmony Day and NAIDOC Week with a plethora of events that recognise and celebrate our diverse culture and ethnicity. Also encompassed within our pastoral system are our wonderful College Counsellors, Aboriginal Liaison Officers and Heads of Year, who work to ensure the safety and wellbeing of each and every individual Lumen Christi student.

Whether your child’s interests are in the arts, sports, academics or something yet to be discovered, Lumen Christi College offers them a wealth of opportunities to explore their potential.
