Luther College is located in the Melbourne suburb of Croydon Hills, just minutes from the picturesque Yarra Valley. Set on 30 acres, our lush and beautiful grounds, together with an extensive range of modern facilities, offer students the ideal place to learn and grow.
At Luther College, we are committed to the pursuit of excellence and the provision of a Lutheran educational service that is progressive and future-focused but importantly, values-based and aligned with our students’ needs.
Today’s learner will live in a future workforce that is unlike any that have come before. The college has an extensive offering of elective subjects designed to allow students to be curious and explore their areas of interest. These multi-disciplinary experiences help prepare our students for VCE and life after Luther.
At the heart of our educational offerings are rich, personalised learning experiences embedded in a contemporary and innovative curriculum that encourages student agency. This approach is developing the essential knowledge, skills and attributes our students need for an exceptional future. Luther College values the opportunity to partner with parents to support, guide and shape their children and provide outstanding learning opportunities which
encourage and challenge them to achieve their personal best.
Pastoral care and wellbeing is at the heart of the educational experience at Luther College. Our pastoral care program helps students feel connected, giving them a sense of belonging from the day they start at the college.
We know that young people learn best when they feel safe, comfortable and connected in an atmosphere that is
nurturing, yet challenging and motivating. Our home group mentors, heads of house, directors of sub schools and heads of year work together with staff to provide a supportive network of care for our students. Vertical, house-based home groups operate within each group, including students from Year 7 to Year 12, enriching their sense of connection and belonging.
Luther College also offers an extensive range of co-curricular opportunities spanning art and design, performing arts, music, sport, technology, food technology and more. Students regularly compete in House
Athletics, swimming and cross-country carnivals, as well as interschool competitions through the Eastern
Independent Schools Melbourne program.
The Advanced Support Program and Individual Recognition of Excellence (ASPIRE) is also available for students who
are pursuing performance excellence in the fields of performing arts or sport. The program provides student support and recognition, plus additional opportunities for those pursuing elite pathways.
Luther College is an exciting place to be.
