Victoria University Secondary College is a 7-12 government co-educational college with a Junior Campus in Deer Park and a Senior Campus and Trade Training Centre in Cairnlea.
Our vision is ‘Create the Future’ and our school values ‘Aspire to Achieve’, ‘Strengthen the Community’ and ‘Respect Ourselves and Others’ underpin all that we do at VUSC.
We believe all students can succeed with effort and persistence. Our teaching and learning framework is based on recent educational research which leads to high quality instruction in every lesson. In 2023 The Age ‘Schools that Excel’ series named VUSC the best Government school in Western Melbourne due to our strong growth in student outcomes.
The College offers a wide range of programs catering to all students’ interests and abilities, including Music and Concert Band, Performing Arts, Sport, Rugby League, Debating and Leadership. Literacy, Numeracy and Wellbeing are a major focus, with extra support to assist students to reach their potential. SEAL and Deep Learning acceleration programs are offered for high ability students.
