Message from the Principal

Each young woman who enters our gates is welcomed into an inclusive community that encourages them to grow and flourish. We nurture confident young women in an inclusive setting where joy, curiosity and lifelong friendships are forged. At Sacré Cœur, we pride ourselves on providing a dynamic and positive learning environment which allows each student to find her path and her place in the world.

Learning at Sacré Cœur offers a transformative educational experience that is holistic and person-centred. Our skilled educators cultivate heads, hearts and hands to create well-rounded individuals.

We encourage our students to be agents of change, seeking to make a discernible difference to those around them. Our future-ready young women are intellectually skilled and curious, courageous and kind, spiritual and reflective, principled and open minded, creative and analytical; and considered and communicative.

We invite you to visit to experience the Sacré Cœur way, where courage and kindness is our daily experience.

Year Level: Year 12 Sustainability Prefect

Year 12 student, Ella Paice, is one of three sisters at Sacré Cœur, with younger sisters Millie in Year 9 and Ruby in Year 5. Starting in Year 5, Ella has flourished, showing a passionate commitment to her studies and co-curricular opportunities.

The welcoming environment at the school has been key to Ella’s positive experience. “Sacré Coeur’s welcoming environment, full of supportive teachers and peers, has and continues to allow me to reach my full potential. A strong sense of community is evident, which has been developed through everyone's involvement in house sporting carnivals, GSV sport, Arts Festivals and co-curricular activities, which I thoroughly enjoy participating in.

Ella is planning on a career in physiotherapy and, having gained the top result in Year 12 Physical Education as a Year 11 student, she is well on her way to making this a reality. “It is my favourite subject because it allows me to use scientific knowledge to analyse the way the human body functions during physical activity, primarily focusing on sport,” shares Ella. She is a keen sportsperson, having been selected in Hockey Victoria’s 2022 U18 Academy Squad and representing Victoria at the U18 National Hockey Championships in 2022.

She is currently the Sustainability Prefect, one of 20 Blue Ribbons, the school’s Senior Student Leadership Team. The appointment of Blue Ribbons, as student leaders, is one of the delightful French traditions adopted by Sacred Heart Schools around the world, of which there is 150 in 41 countries. First founded in Paris in 1800 by St Madeleine Sophie Barat, Sacred Heart Schools are committed to the education of girls, developing each student’s gifts to the fullest, laying the foundations for a passion for life-long learning and an active and personal faith.

As Sustainability Prefect, she is excited to work with younger students from Prep to Year 12 promoting environmental changes within the school to positively impact the world.
