Early Learning Centre
Our Early Learning Centre has been recognised for its innovative programs and wonderful facilities. The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development has rated our Early Learning Centre as ‘Exceeding National Quality Standard’ in all seven areas of assessment. We offer part-time and full-time three-year-old and four-year-old programs that combine teacher-led learning with play. Our youngest learners develop social, emotional, physical and intellectual skills, providing a solid foundation for their academic journey.
Parallel learning
At Tintern we encompass the parallel learning model, which sees students educated in both co-educational and single-gender settings according to their age and stage. Our Junior School students learn in separate gender classes at an age when gender tends to play a greater role in influencing learning styles. Students are introduced into co-educational classes when social development is an important part of their growth and maturation.
Girls’ Junior School (Prep to Year 6)
At Tintern we provide opportunities for girls to engage, build confidence and lead. Our classes and curriculum have been carefully structured to fully cater to the specific needs and strengths of our young girls. Our girls are given every opportunity to further their talents and sharpen abilities in a broad range of activities. We introduce them to strong female role models, many of whom are our own alumni. We provide the support, advice and care they need as they begin the transition from girls to young women.
Boys’ Junior School (Prep to Year 6)
At Tintern Grammar, we understand boys. We recognise the importance of an integrated approach to literacy and encourage boys to thrive in a culture that fully appreciates their vibrancy, enthusiasm and curiosity. For an education that celebrates engagement, diversity and personal development in a warm and supportive environment, turn to Tintern Boys’ Junior School.
