School rating and rankings based on study score
Ballarat Clarendon College students achieved the highest median ATAR (37) of any school in the region of Ballarat. Loreto College, the only all-girls school on the list, and Ballarat Grammar came in at second place with a median ATAR of 32.
The solitary all-boys entry, St Patricks College, occupied third position with an ATAR of 29, followed closely by Ballarat High School with a median score of 28. The Woodmans Hill campus of Ballarat Secondary College (technically located in Ballarat East) was one of two government schools on the list and finished in fifth place with a median ATAR of 27.
Ballarat Clarendon College not only led the way for the local region but also featured in the top five state-wide. Out of all Victorian schools, Ballarat Clarendon College ended up finishing equal third with a score a median ATAR of 37 alongside Mount Scopus Memorial College, Melbourne High School, Shelford Girls’ Grammar and Ruyton Girls’ School.
