School rating and rankings based on study score
Perth’s south-western suburbs have an excellent reputation when it comes to educational results. Of the city’s top 10 overall performers according to their median ATAR, seven are from the south-western region.
Presbyterian Ladies’ College – Perth is at the top of the list with a score 92.9, followed closely by Penrhos College and Christ Church Grammar School (less than one point separated the trio). It was a similar story down the list, with eighth placed Rossmoyne Senior High School (87.35) just pipping Scotch College (87.3), while Iona Presentation College rounds out the top 10 with 86.7.
There is a reasonably even spread of schools – six all girls, two all-boys and two co-ed in the gender department, while the type of institution was split between independent (six), Catholic (three) and government (one).
