Student Stories: Rebekah's experience with boarding life at PLC

Rebekah in Year 12 has embraced all that boarding life has to offer at Presbyterian Ladies’ College (PLC) as she prepares for her final year at the College. ‘I love the Boarding House and all the opportunities it provides my friends and I,’ Rebekah said.

‘By becoming a boarder, I no longer spend hours travelling to and from school and can devote all that time to my school and especially all the sports and activities that I participate in.’

‘I am especially grateful to the staff who are so supportive and caring. It has really made such a difference to my last years of schooling and made life in the Boarding House so rewarding. Most of all, I have made such wonderful friendships with the girls and those strong bonds and great memories will stay with me forever,’ she said. ‘I would absolutely recommend boarding at PLC to any girl who is looking to pursue her passions and seek out opportunities to excel in sports, music or academic life.’

Rebekah is studying the International Baccalaureate and hopes to eventually study Law and Computer Science after graduation. Rebekah recently entered the ‘Zonta Young Women in Public Affairs’ competition and won her regional zone in recognition of her leadership, volunteerism and commitment to advancing the interests of women.

‘I was so honoured to win the award,’ she said. ‘The whole process has taught me so much about presentation and how to pursue the issue I am passionate about.’
