The list was bookended by the only two co-educational and government institutions to feature – Perth Modern School was the best performer with a median ATAR of 95.55, while Shenton College finished in 10th place with 90. These were also the only two schools to hail from the City Central region of Perth.
The South-Western Suburbs were comfortably the most represented, with Presbyterian Ladies’ College – Perth, Penrhos College, Christ Church Grammar School, Santa Maria College, St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls (Inc) and Methodist Ladies’ College making up the bulk of the top 10.
Seven of the 10 were all girls’ schools, with two co-ed and just one all-boys institution making the cut. Only one Catholic school and two government schools were ranked among the best performers in Perth, with the remainder from the independent sector.
